OVERVIEW:

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a post-graduate programme of JAIRAM ARTS & SCIENCE COLLEGE and approved by the AICTE, New Delhi and Affiliated to Periyar University, Salem. MCA is a two year Post Graduate programme, which is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge of computer science, with emphasis on applications. MCA can provide a candidate with brief knowledge of programming languages, software development, database management, and computer networks. Students build their problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and technical expertise through this course. The course also emphasizes teamwork, project management, and effective communication.

MCA at JAIRAM ARTS & SCIENCE COLLEGE strives to shape outstanding computer professionals with ethical and human values to reshape nation’s destiny. The training programme aims to prepare young minds for the challenging opportunities in the IT industry with a global awareness rooted in the Indian soil, nourished and supported by experts in the field.

The College is provided with excellent academic infrastructure like ICT(Audio-Visual Equipment) enabled class rooms, well equipped laboratory and department library with digital contents.The well qualified, experienced and committed faculty of the department strives for developing new and smart generation of computer professionals with proper transformation of leadership, commitment and moral values.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

ELIGIBILITY

Passed BCA/ Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent Degree. OR Passed B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics at 10th, +2 level or at Graduation Level (with additional bridge Courses as per the norms of the concerned University). Obtained at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination.
